Concert Review Black Stone Cherry

Black Stone Cherry @ The Melkweg Amsterdam, March 30th 2007

This is my very first review for www.stratovana.nl/musicmagazine .

Armed with a bloc note and a pen I was going to The Melkweg in Amsterdam to see Hinder and Black Stone Cherry who was support act.

When I arrived @ The Melkweg, there were already a handful of people waiting at the door. Everybody was very exciting.

Black Stone Cherry started to play at 20.00 PM. They opened spectacular! Black Stone Cherry is a four men formation from Kentucky (US) It was the first time for them in Amsterdam and they enjoyed their stay.

Black Stone Cherry played 45 minutes, without technical problems or delay or whatever. The band wear simple clothes such as: a jeans and a t .shirt. The front man had a good voice and the drummer reminds me of animal (from the muppet show) and he was full of energy and in my opinion he was the one who stole the show.

The whole band impressed me (the looks) and musically! I hope they will come back again to The Netherlands because I want to see them again deffinately! Black Stone Cherry kicks ass!

I don’t know the set list anymore because ‘Stratovana’ asked the tourmanager for one but, they didn’t had them anymore.

So if someone reads this review, please send the set list to info@stratovana.nl

Black Stone Cherry are:

Chris Robertson – Vocals/Guitar
