Concert Review Heads Down - Tempestt - Jeff Scott Soto
Headsdown - Tempestt - Jeff Scott Soto @ De Boerderij, Zoetermeer, March 6th 2008
The concert was opened by Heads Down, a heavy rockband, that plays covers from 70’s / 80’s bands..
This was the bands first performance since a while again, so they really head to put up a show.
They also had a new singer, Don Feltges, who looked like a real rockstar from the 70’s / 80’s.
He did a good job and it was nice to see that the band had fun on stage.
After Heads Down it was time from Tempestt, a Brazilian melodic metal band. I didn;t know these guys before, so it would be a suprise for me as well. These days it’s pretty hard to stand out above other bands in the same genre, but this band did a pretty good job. The sound of the bassplayer was amazing and the singer had a nice sound as well.
After a few songs it was time for Jeff Scott Soto to enter the stage. He performed this night with Tempestt, which worked out really well. They already had played together in the past, so it was a really good combination. They played a mix of covers and own songs from Soto. I enjoyed the songs like “I'll Be Waiting “, “Stand up” and “Detroit Rock City”, but they played so many good songs that night.. One of the other great things was the interaction with the crowd. It was great to see how Soto reacted on some shouts from the crowd.
Aftter the show we went to the café and waited for the bands to get over there.
Silvana wanted to take some pictures from Soto and exchanged some business cards.
After that it was time to head home again!
