Concert Review Therion

Therion @ 013 Tilburg February 18th 2007

Finally it was my turn to write my first review for my mother’s music magazine and my mother asked me to join her to see the concert of Sabaton, Grave Digger and Therion. So we went off to Tilburg to see the bands. We arrived at the train station were we picked up Milou (another photographer) and walked to the venue.

When we arrived, Sabaton began right away at 19.30 PM. They are a medium hard Power metal band with different kind of interferences. They have played a 30 minutes set and the vocalist was obvious a bit strange type of person. Personally I didn’t like the music of Sabaton.

Later on when Grave Digger started at 19.45 PM I was surprised to see what kind of power they have!! Their formation consist of one guitar player, a bass player a vocalist and a drummer! After a set of one hour and 15 minutes of heavy metal and a great show from the drummer… 013 was very crouded and everybody was going wild!!! I liked the voice of front men Chris Boltendahl

Only Therion was left to play their big set of almost two hours! When every band member of Therion was on the stage I was overwhelmed by so many people in 1 band. Couple of female vocalists, two male vocalists and then the rest of the band which has 2 guitar players and a Bass player of course… My mother told me about another line-up but they change the female vocalists and also the male vocalist Snowy Shaw. It was not my kind of metal but after all I had a great evening.
